During the eight months of no schooling in Sierra Leone during the Ebola epidemic, we engaged students in a checkout book program with assignments in all subjects. Students checked in for books on a daily basis and they were guided by the volunteers.
We were contracted by The Village Link (an international non-profit organization) to teach teachers and community youths the basics of computing in Gollu Village.
102 students now boast of email and Facebook accounts. Bumpe High School students exchange emails with students abroad ( High schools in Connecticut and in Costa Rica).
